WHAT DOES YOUR SUPPORT MEAN?

Continued support of SWRSLSC enables our club to maintain a safe environment for the community of South West Rocks.

The cost of operations of a surf club is high, and with the increasing community population, both local residents and visitors, there is a need to increase patrol hours to extend the coverage on the beach, which in turn increases the need for additional equipment and increased running costs.

Examples of equipment required for efficiency on the beach include an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) $34,000, an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) hull $20,000, an IRB Motor $13,500, with IRB running cost $80 per day, defibrillator $1,500.

Any supporter funding is directed according to your preference toward the following services:

  • Provision of surf lifesaving equipment.
  • Provision of basic and advanced training to volunteer life savers.
  • Upgrade and maintenance of lifesaving equipment, including rescue boards, inflatable rescue boats, first aid equipment, rescue tubes and much more.
  • Water safety education programs to local schools.
  • Training and development for athletes and teams – including Nipper and Senior Competitors.
