The South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Club Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is an initiative designed to build respectful relationships with the local Dunghutti people and embed Aboriginal culture into everyday club programs. It serves as a foundational step to promote inclusion, cultural engagement, and community wellbeing

The RAP—which was the first of its kind for a surf lifesaving club in NSW—acts as a framework that focuses on the core pillars of reconciliation: relationships, respect, and opportunities. Key initiatives under this plan involve creating pathways for cultural learning, establishing formal RAP working groups, and recognising Traditional Owners within the coastal and aquatic environment.

We would like to thank Aunty Cheryl Blair and Nancy Patison from the South West Rocks Figtree Aboriginal Descendants Corporation for their ongoing support and guidance, and Freeda Roberts from Dunghutti Creations for her beautiful artwork.
